Payment Setup

Connect Stripe to accept payments from clients.

Why Stripe?

PT Suite uses Stripe for payment processing:

  • Secure - Industry-leading security
  • Direct deposits - Money goes straight to your bank
  • No platform fees - Only standard Stripe fees
  • Global - Works in 40+ countries

Connecting Stripe

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar, then click Payments
  2. Click Connect Stripe Account
  3. You’ll be redirected to Stripe
  4. Log in or create a Stripe account
  5. Complete Stripe’s verification
  6. You’ll be redirected back to PT Suite

Verification Requirements

Stripe requires:

  • Government ID
  • Bank account details
  • Business information
  • Address verification

This typically takes 5-10 minutes.

You can start setting up your site before connecting Stripe. Payments just won’t work until connected.

Stripe Fees

Standard Stripe processing fees apply:

  • UK cards: 1.5% + 20p
  • EU cards: 2.5% + 20p
  • International cards: 3.25% + 20p

PT Suite charges no additional platform fees.

Payment Status

After connecting, check your status:

Managing Payments

Viewing Transactions

All transactions are managed in your Stripe Dashboard:

  • View payments
  • Issue refunds
  • Handle disputes
  • Download reports

Access at dashboard.stripe.com 

Refunds

To refund a payment:

  1. Go to your Stripe Dashboard
  2. Find the payment
  3. Click Refund
  4. Enter amount and reason
  5. Confirm

Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to reach clients.

Troubleshooting

”Verification Required”

Stripe needs additional information. Click the link in your Payments settings to complete verification.

”Payouts Disabled”

Check your Stripe Dashboard for any issues with your bank account details.

Payments Not Working

  1. Confirm Stripe shows as “Connected” in Settings
  2. Check for errors in Stripe Dashboard
  3. Contact support if issues persist
