1:1 Sessions
Create session types that clients can book one-on-one with you. This is the foundation of most personal training businesses.
What Are Session Types?
Session types define the services clients can book:
- Personal Training — Your standard PT session
- Consultation — Initial meetings or assessments
- Online Coaching — Virtual sessions via Zoom
- Express Session — Shorter, focused workouts
Each session type has its own duration, price, and description.
Creating a Session Type
Navigate to 1:1 Sessions
Go to Admin → 1:1 Sessions.
Click Create Session Type
Click the + Create Session Type button.
Fill in the Details

Configure Delivery Method
Choose how sessions are delivered:
- In-Person — Client comes to your location
- Online — Via Zoom video call
- Hybrid — Client chooses when booking
Set Booking Rules (Optional)

Save
Click Save to create the session type.
Managing Session Types
Editing
- Go to Admin → 1:1 Sessions
- Click on the session type row
- Make your changes
- Save
Note: Changes apply to new bookings only. Existing bookings keep their original settings.
Enabling/Disabling
Toggle session types on or off without deleting them:
- Go to Admin → 1:1 Sessions
- Find the session type
- Toggle the Active switch
Disabled session types won’t appear for booking but are preserved for your records.
Deleting
You can only delete session types that have no:
- Active bookings
- Group classes using them
- Programs using them
If you can’t delete, disable instead.
Pricing Strategies
Fixed Price
Standard pricing — same cost every time.
Variable Pricing
Different rates for different scenarios:
- Peak hours (e.g., 6-8am, 5-7pm)
- Off-peak discounts
- Weekend rates
Set up multiple session types with different prices for each scenario.
Online Sessions (Zoom)
When you enable online delivery:
- Clients select “Online” when booking
- A Zoom meeting is automatically created
- Both you and the client receive join links
- Reminders include the Zoom link
Tip: Connect your Zoom account in Settings → Integrations to enable automatic meeting creation.
How Clients Book
- Client visits your booking page
- Selects a session type
- Chooses an available time from your calendar
- Enters their details
- Pays (if required)
- Receives confirmation
Your availability is based on each trainer’s working hours minus any existing bookings.
Best Practices
Keep It Simple
- 3-5 session types is ideal
- Too many choices overwhelm clients
- Group similar offerings
Clear Naming
- Use descriptive names
- Avoid jargon
- Make the value clear
Good Descriptions
Include:
- What the session involves
- Who it’s for
- What clients will gain
Appropriate Pricing
- Research your local market
- Consider your experience level
- Factor in your costs (rent, equipment, travel)
